[REVIEW] Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata

Yasashii Sekai no Tsukurikata

A Method to Make the Gentle World

  • One of the best core-romance mangas I’ve read in a long long time
  • Equal screen time and responsibility from lead characters
  • Shipping wars aplenty
  • Age gaps, bro.
  • Good representation, and realistic-feeling, of “high school girls”
  • Sweet beginning, spicy middle, bittersweet (read: almost unsatisfying) ending

“Well shit, I might reread this soon”

[MANGA] Shuukaku no Juunigatsu

Shuukaku no Juunigatsu

Harvest December

5 / 10

  • Boy has weird not-reality fetish
  • Boy meets local god/deity who wants the sex
  • Boy meets local priest daughter who wants the love and possibly the sex
  • Boy asserts his dominance, says he will have them both
  • Boy and the two females go through stuff- has to make a choice
  • Boy never officially makes his choice- manga ends

“don’t even bother.”

Total episode count: 13 episodes + 8 OVAs

Subs used: Coalgirls (Ryuumaru)

DF’s status: watched and… completed

Art/Animation: 7/10

Music/Sound: 7/10

Story/Plot/Content: 8/10

Characters: 8/10

Overall rating: 8/10

  • Crude humor; all day, every day
  • Innuendos, slap-stick comedy, jokes, puns, parodies, references, et cetera
  • Random skits/scenes with no point A to point B story line; 4-koma-esque
  • The art and music was nothing special; average, even– but that’s not the point
  • Similar to [Seitokai no Ichizon] in terms of style(?) but this show has a much more mature tone to it
  • All around great cast of characters that compliment each other so well
  • Lots of chibi/deformed reaction scenes
  • This show is sexual as fuck–

DF says:

If you’re interested in some great and dirty humor presented in a comedic way, look no further. What I really appreciated is that they got down and dirty, pun intended, asap. No beating around the bush and dragging the show on pointlessly. Definitely one of the best shows in 2013 and probably the best show in the comedy category that year, hands down. I seriously haven’t been this entertained in such a long, long, long time.

Fortune Arterial: Akai Yakusoku

  • +1 to dropped shows
  • vampire shows are never good
  • was it trying to be funny? was it trying to be serious? was it trying to be light-hearted?
  • think it was a harem
  • serious case of identity crisis
  • the constant roller coaster of atmosphere mood swings coupled with the overall genericism = だめ だめ だめ
  • the artwork was okay though, I guess

Chuu Bra!!

  • +1 to my dropped shows
  • it was like an educational show on bra && panties
  • female protagonist provided the chunk of the comedy
  • the artwork for this show– despite it being produced in 2010, was very mediocre
  • despite it being “ecchi”, [“it was like an educational show on bra && panties”] made it such a snooze-fest to watch

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi

  • based on fairy tale stuff: little red riding hood, tortoise and hare, three little pigs, et cetera
  • appealing as fuck artwork, aesthetic as fuck character designs, fluid as fuck animations
  • really diverse characters; both good & bad guys
  • this damn girl is so adorable
  • a unique (more extreme) take on “a school club doing shit for school”
  • one unique aspect is the actively present narrator– her commentary is spot on and pretty funny
  • ~okayish beginning, slow & grindy (damn near SOL pointless) for a huge chunk of the show, finished up… weirdly
  • romance aspect tries to peek out a bit… but ain’t much of nothing

Koe de Oshigoto! The Animation

  • two (2) episode standalone OVA based off the source material [here]
  • I want to read the manga but there is no way you can enjoy this type of work without sound and proper animation
  • if you or your personality is below eighteen (18) years of age: 1) do not watch 2) get the fuck off this blog
  • this show makes all other comedic ecchi shows look and feel like child’s play
  • fucking hilariously perverted
  • pretty much softcore porn, I think
  • word to the wise: watch alone, with headphones, with equally perverted friends or, any combination of the aforementioned

Yosuga no Sora: In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone.

  • first off, great fucking OST
  • incest = wincest
  • the anime covered the manga pretty much detail for detail (good job guys)
  • this show was pretty nonsensical
  • depending on how you get your fix, the show is divided into several arcs– each pertaining to a different girl
  • format of said arcs? male lead interacts with female → some sort of drama occurs with said female → aforementioned drama is solved by the male lead or something → this, pretty much
  • yeah, remember incest = wincest? still applies.

Shukufuku no Campanella

  • weak show with a weak premise and an equally as weak plot development (if that)
  • characters were bland as fuck; I’m looking at you male lead
  • male lead = good guy greg on steroids
  • the only part of this show that I enjoyed were scenes involving these two (2) girls
  • I don’t even remember much of anything really, like I literally wasted hard drive read/writes just by watching this show
  • the show is visually appealing, I will give it that much

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

  • infamous show, damn near legendary status
  • incest = wincest
  • the first show where I actively looked into other adaptations, sources, materials, etc after I finished watching the anime
  • two (2) fucking seasons of win
  • why I love this show = unique in the incestly sense (snorts)
  • why I hate this show = motherfucking editors over in Japan screwed our male lead over (in the anime anyway) + best girl fucking lost
  • best girl (one of my favorite female characters in general) = Ayase Aragaki ; fuck . your. opinion(s)
  • Ayase Aragaki’s VA = my absolute favorite female VA in the industry, partly mostly due to the role of Ayase
